A study* has revealed that having a healthy family, being financially comfortable and simply having a laugh are the top three things which make us Brits feel better in life. So here at Southern, we are encouraging motorists to discover the things in everyday life that make us feel confident, following the launch of the Grandland X.
Whether it’s being spontaneous or putting on a good suit, we want to celebrate the everyday things that give us that confidence, the feeling of grandeur. And the brand new Grandland X helps to do just that, as it allows you to experience a different view of the world with its elevated driving position, so you literally sit higher and taller. So, experience the small adventures of the everyday; be it taking a more scenic route to work or giving yourself a bit of ‘me’ time with a coffee on the drive home – be just a little more…grand.
Available now at Southern from just £22,310 on-the-road, the Grandland X adds to a strong SUV line-up from Vauxhall, which also include the Mokka X and Crossland X, and is Vauxhall’s largest SUV model. With a sporty design and rugged looks, the Grandland X has generous luggage space, good all-round visibility and a raft of safety technologies.
The SUV has a variety of equipment available as standard which is perfect for the winter weather and any potentially dangerous road conditions, such as rain, ice and snow. These include adaptive full-LED headlights, which adapt to the prevailing situation and enable driving with full beam without dazzling other road users. The system also enables people or animals near the road to be seen earlier than with conventional low beam.
What’s more, the Grandland X also features Vauxhall’s innovative IntelliGrip traction control system as an optional extra, which gives drivers the choice of five modes, including mud and snow, to ensure they get the right traction for the road condition. IntelliGrip adapts torque distribution to the front wheels, allowing slip when necessary, and adjusts the accelerator pedal control map. When combined with the six-speed automatic transmission, IntelliGrip optimises the shift points to the driving situation.
There is also a selection of ultra-modern assistance and comfort features available across the Grandland X range. Standard equipment includes LED daytime running lights, camera-based lane departure warning, road sign recognition, and air conditioning with particulate and odour filter.
Both the driver and its passengers can benefit from a little extra warmth this winter. The new Grandland X features optional, ergonomically certified AGR sports seats, which feature lumbar support, extendable and tiltable seat cushions and plenty of adjustable settings. So you could say, we’ve got your back covered!
Additionally, Vauxhall has also introduced a top-of-the-range variant to the Grandland X range. The new Ultimate trim level, which is also available on the popular Mokka X and Crossland X models, has a high level of equipment as standard and debuts the new 2.0-litre Turbo Diesel (177PS) engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Sitting on 19-inch BiColour alloys, the new Ultimate Grandland X adds to this impressive list of features with kit including Automatic Cruise Control and a Denon premium sound system. Also standard are black roof and door mirrors, alloy sports pedals, heated steering wheel, heated rear outer seats, 360-degree Panoramic Camera. Few SUVs in this class are as well-equipped. Available to order now, the new Grandland X Ultimate is priced from £33,995 on-the-road.
With performance comes also economy, the Grandland X 2.0-litre Turbo Diesel (177PS) Blue Injection engine offers official CO2 emissions of 128g/km and 57.6mpg combined.
